College Opportunity Fund

COF is a stipend benefit offered by Colorado State to undergraduate students enrolled in college classes that reduces their tuition fees. It's like a grant, and you don't have to pay it back. Apply on the state website and authorize use of the stipend on WebOpus.

With COF, students get 145 credit hours to use at any Colorado college. If a student exceeds that amount, they can submit an appeal for a one-year extension by completing the COF Limit Waiver.

Study Abroad Transfer Evaluation Inquiry

Find out if your credits as a Study Abroad student transfer to Fort Lewis College.

Evaluate Academic Requirements for Student (Run a What-If Report)

The Evaluate Academic Requirements report can be run in Workday to help advisors simulate hypothetical changes to a student's programs of study. This report only looks at the Program of Study (POS) you want to experiment with and shows how degree and major requirements completed or in progress would be applied. All advisor roles will be able to run this report in Workday.

You can conduct the following scenarios in this report:

  • Apply a different catalog year to a major or minor
  • Analyze completed requirements that could be applied to an added minor or slightly altered major, e.g., a student majoring in Environmental Science wondering if it would make sense to add a Geology Minor or change their major to Geology.
  • Provide more information on adding a certificate for a student who took several relevant courses as electives in sophomore year, which could count toward both elective credits and a certificate.
  • Dropping a minor or certificate to use credits toward a different requirement.
  • Any other scenario that could benefit from experimenting with the student's current POS and/or degree requirements.
  1. Log in to Workday. Select the "search bar" at the top of the portal and type Academic Requirements). Then, select Evaluate Academic Requirements for Student report from the search results. Note: An additional View Evaluated Academic Requirements for Student report may appear in the search results. This report will be used at a later step in the process.
  2. Type the student's name in the Student field, select the Enter key to remove the student from the search results, and select OK
  3. Review the student's current programs of study in the program of study table, including the major, minor, or certificate currently being pursued.
  4. The Evaluate Programs of Study area will automatically populate editable line items that match the current programs of study.
    1. Add a new POS by selecting the (+) icon at the top left of the table.
    2. Remove an existing secondary POS from the scenario by selecting the (—) button next to the corresponding POS line.
    3. You can change the POS by selecting the Program of Study field and searching for other POSs to choose a different one.
    4. If the student is double-majoring, change which major is the primary POS by unselecting the check box in the current POS's "Primary" column and checking the same box in the other POS's row.
    5. If you add or adjust a secondary POS, select the field, type the corresponding major to which the POS should be linked, and select the desired result.
    6. The Requirements Effective Date column pertains to the ca
