On Saturday, May 2, the families and friends of Fort Lewis College’s newest alumni packed Whalen Gym for two Commencement ceremonies.

Have you ever wondered about how fairy tales effect how we learn about gender? Or how to best design a rocket propellant feed system? Or did you want a better understanding of Informalism in art?

On Tuesday, March 10, a showing of “She’s Beautiful When She’s Angry” will be held in Noble Hall, Rm. 130 at 6 p.m. The film follows the women who founded and contributed to the women’s movements of the 1960s and 1970s. This event is free and open to everyone.

The following Tuesday, March 17, the FLC Native American Center Speaker Series welcomes Dr. Andrea Smith to campus. She will speak on “Transforming Justice: Gender Violence & Community Accountability” at 6 p.m. in Noble Hall, Rm. 130. This talk is also free and open to everyone.

In March, Women's History Month puts the national spotlight on the past and present status of women in society. Joining in the celebration, the FLC campus will host a slate of events exploring women's education and empowerment, the theme for this year's Women's History Month.
