The tragedies in Paris

Like you, I was shocked and saddened by the attacks in Paris last week. Our hearts go out to the victims and their families, as well as to the people of France. I am grateful to be able to report that all of the FLC students studying abroad in Europe are accounted for and safe. None of our students were in Paris at the time of the attacks.

Tony Holmquist, assistant professor of Art & Design, won first prize at the 3rd International Open Submission Printmaking Show at Art at Wharepuke, in New Zealand.

Andrew Gulliford

Southwest Studies and History Professor Andrew Gulliford won a 2015 Colorado Book Award for his book Outdoors in the Southwest: An Adventure Anthology.

Paul Booth

Associate Professor of Art & Design Paul Booth recently won a Silver Communicator Award in print, beating out more than 6,000 international entries.

Football wrap-up

The Skyhawks football team ended their season at 7-4 overall and 6-3 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, the team's best record since 2006.
