The awesome experience of being a TA

One of the best things about Fort Lewis is the relationships that you are able to build with the professors. In my 3 years at The Fort, I have not yet had a professor that didn’t at least learn my name, and most actually spent the time to get to know me. Knowing my professors on a more personal level just makes the whole college experience more enjoyable.

In the fall semester of my junior year I was taking a variety of business and art classes to chip away at my art and business double major. One of these classes was Operations...

Perfect weekend in Durango

To tell you the truth, I cannot remember a weekend in Durango that was not perfect; blue skies mixed with three-hundred days of sunshine makes Durango ‘paradise’ for outdoor enthusiasts. I have experienced my version of the perfect weekend several times. My perfect weekend starts out by waking up on Saturday morning and sipping on a hot cup of coffee. During that time I am...

My study abroad experience

While applying for college, one of the main things I looked for was a good study abroad program. Fort Lewis College has an incredible one! With a variety of ways and many different countries, and a lot of help, I knew that I was going to be in good hands when preparing for my study abroad.  In the fall of 2011 I studied abroad in Stirling, Scotland. I chose to go through a company called...

Innovative Month courses expand students' worlds

Why study about the cruise industry in a land-locked classroom when you can experience it at sea on board a cruise ship?

Why try to learn Greek history and culture in Colorado when you can immerse yourself in both in Greece?

Why dream about someday helping people in need when you can make real change right now in Africa?
