The Fort Lewis College men's Cross Country team has an appointment with destiny this weekend.

The squad will compete in the the NCAA Division II National Championships after capturing a 6^th place finish at the NCAA Division II South Central Regionals, in Denver, on Nov. 3, qualifying the team for the national championships for just the second time ever — and the first time since 1995.

In May, when Fort Lewis College first baseman Stephanie Janes was named to the Capital One Academic All-America second team for NCAA Division II, it was a crowning academic achievement for Skyhawk athletes.
