The Fort Lewis College Presidential Search Committee is embarking on the important task of identifying candidates our next president. . As part of this process, we invite all members of the FLC community, including faculty, staff, students, alumni, and external partners, to participate in our upcoming community engagement meetings in September.

These meetings are designed to gather input on the qualities and priorities that our next president should embody. Your insights will play a crucial role in shaping the presidential leadership profile, which will guide the selection process. 

Ann Yates and Pelema Ellis from Buffkin/Baker, a leading executive search firm specializing in higher education, will guide these meetings.

We recognize the importance of inclusive governance and are committed to ensuring that voices from across our community are heard. If you are unable to attend in person, virtual participation options will be available. Additionally, you can share your thoughts directly with the Presidential Search Committee representatives or fill out a survey on the website.

He and other research team members expect their jointly submitted, peer-reviewed paper on their micro-thruster work to be published in the next month.

This is the second time Philosophy Professor Justin McBrayer receives an award from the prestigious Fulbright Program

McBrayer said the award will allow him to continue exploring the issue of misinformation and fake news. Specifically, he will explore a range of steps liberal societies may justifiably take to limit the production and spread of fake news, encourage the production and spread of genuine news, and insulate political and social life from the harms of fake news that cannot be suppressed.
