Theatre auditions

Students are not required to audition to become a Theatre major unless they seek a scholarship.

Because we strive to nurture the best talents in all FLC students, Theatre Program production auditions are open to the entire Fort Lewis College community, alumni, and local community.

The auditions for performers and the interviews for technical positions (scenic, costume, lighting, sound, etc.) are typically held during the first week of each term. Check the Call Board in the Theatre Building or contact the Theatre Program at 970-247-7089 for the exact date, time, and location of the next auditions.

Audition requirements

Prepare a 90-second monologue from a contemporary play. Dance auditions are only on Friday at Callbacks.

Although each audition may require production-specific elements, the general expectation for students auditioning/interviewing is to come prepared with a prepared monologue/song/portfolio.

After the completion of Sophomore Seminar, Theatre Majors are required to bring a headshot and resume to auditions; design/tech majors are required to bring a resume.
