Resilience exhibition

A certificate program for the Ute language and a student and alumni art exhibition at the Center of Southwest Studies are just two examples of FLC's ongoing response to its history as a federal boarding school, as explained in an informational video by Jenni Trujillo, dean of the School of Education, and Elise Boulanger (Studio Art & Design, '21), curatorial fellow. 

Broadcaster alumnus

National broadcaster Peter Graves (Physical Education, '76) was an FLC student when he discovered his talent for calling sports events. He found a career as a stadium announcer and ESPN broadcaster and covered events like the Iron Horse Bicycle Classic, Olympics, and the 1990 World Mountain Bike Championships.

Nearly 500 students graduate from FLC

Fort Lewis College hosted an outdoor commencement under a bright blue sky to celebrate nearly 500 graduating seniors. Thousands of friends and family members filled up FLC’s Ray Dennison Memorial Field with love and raucous applause for the Skyhawks. 

FLC Spring Commencement scheduled for May 14

Fort Lewis College’s Spring Commencement will take place on Saturday, May 14, 2022, at 9 a.m. on the Ray Dennison Memorial Field. This is the 60th commencement in FLC history, with nearly 500 students participating. In addition to Spring 2022 graduates, students from 2020 who graduated via virtual ceremonies are invited to walk in this year’s in-person ceremony.

Business plan competition awards $22,000 to eager entrepreneurs

New business ideas at this year's Hawk Tank ranged from outdoor gear companies to luxury streetwear brands and everything in between. The variety of pitches highlighted the underlying purpose of the business plan competition—to give students the tools they need to realize their dreams.

Alpine dimes make a mountain of difference at FLC

For every swipe of a Fort Lewis College #FLCFOREVER Loyalty Debit Card, Alpine Bank donates 10 cents to FLC programs. Since the College and Bank partnership launched three years ago, those dimes have added up to nearly $70,000 in direct impact on FLC students.

The FLC cycling team is competing this weekend for yet another national title at the USA Cycling Collegiate Road Nationals in Augusta, Georgia. The Skyhawks are primed and ready, having produced strong results all season, including securing the Rocky Mountain Collegiate Cycling Conference conference title in April.
