Fort Lewis College will no longer require Green Health Passes in classrooms and other indoor spaces beginning May 16.
FLC values and cares about a sense of belonging and connection. Given the diminishing threat posed by the current variant and our interest in creating the best possible student experience, masks will be optional indoors, beginning March 7, 2022.
Way to stay safe and strong, Skyhawks! Our COVID mitigation strategies are paying off, which allows us to reevaluate and look to return to an even more engaging campus environment.
As you’ve seen, COVID-19 and the Omicron variant continue to surge across the country, and Durango is no exception. We have been preparing over the break and FLC is ready to welcome you back to a safe, in-person experience.
Because of the rapid spread of the Omicron variant in recent weeks, we are delaying the start of the semester to Monday, January 24 and a COVID booster shot is required for all students, faculty, and staff once you are eligible to receive one.
We have two upcoming COVID-19 vaccine booster clinics on campus over the next two weeks.
The fall semester is right around the corner, which means we finally get to come back #FLCTogether. I’m beyond excited to welcome our new and returning students to campus and engage with our FLC community in ways we haven’t before. The reason we’re able to come back to a vibrant campus is our continued care for another. The pandemic has disrupted many things, but not our commitment to doing what’s best for the safety and health of others. As we head into another semester of in-person learning and highly engaging campus activities, we’ll need to ground ourselves once again in the practices that have kept our community safe and learning.
Fort Lewis College is lifting the mask requirement on campus for all individuals who have been vaccinated. FLC community members and guests who self-attest that they have been fully vaccinated will not be required to wear a mask indoors.
