FLC campus hosts Squawker Classic cycling races this weekend

Break out those cowbells! It's time to cheer on the FLC Skyhawks Cycling Team as Fort Lewis College hosts the annual Squawker Classic road race, this weekend, March 28 - 29.  Points from this weekend's Squawker go toward qualifying for the USA Cycling Collegiate Road Nationals in Asheville, North Carolina, May 8 - 10.

Master's candidate earns national honors with Milken award [VIDEO]

Fort Lewis College graduate student and third-grade teacher Carrie Harper, from Durango's Sunnyside Elementary School, was named as a prestigious Milken Educator, along with only 39 other teachers nationwide, in January. She is the only recipient from southwest Colorado and received a $25,000 award.

Teacher Education students set to earn FLC's first-ever master's degrees

Fort Lewis College took a giant leap into the future in January 2012, when the Higher Learning Commission approved FLC's first graduate program: a Master of Arts in Education, Teacher Leadership Option. The first students in the M.A. program and the associated graduate-level Teacher Leadership Certificate program began their studies in Fall 2013.
