About Hannah Duff

Hannah is a choral conductor, soprano, collaboratie pianist, and musicians’ wellness pedagogue joining Fort Lewis College this fall to direct the College Concert Choir and Chamber choir and teach voice. From 2022-2024, she conducted several vocal ensembles at the Eastman School of Music, was Assistant Conductor for Eastman Opera Theater, and was Music Director and Pianist for Summerville Presbyterian Church.

While at ESM, Hannah taught undergraduate music theory and won the Teaching Assistant Prize for Excellence in Teaching in 2024. She is a 200-hour certified yoga instructor who incorporates movement and mindfulness practices in classroom and rehearsal settings and has published and presented research on incorporating these techniques in music pedagogy. Hannah performs regularly with professional choirs and chamber ensembles, such as Voices Chamber Choir, Pegasus Early Music, and First Inversion. She has appeared as a soloist and choral singer across the country and abroad, mostly recently with Norfolk Chamber Music Festival in Connecticut.

Hannah earned a BM in vocal music education and an MM in Conducting from the Eastman School of Music. When she is not making music, Hannah can be found climbing, practicing yoga, hiking, and drinking coffee. Phone: (970) 247-6408 FLC email: hduff@fortlewis.edu Office Location: Jones 210
