NGC 7479 with SN2009jf: NGC 7479 is a barred spiral galaxy around 100 million light-years away in the constellation Pegasus. Comparing the L magnitude with adjacent stars cataloged in TheSky gives a magnitude of 15.25 for this supernova (depending on the specific reference star). The midpoint of the imaging time was ~UT 2009/10/10.125

Additional Comments: The seeing was rather poor this evening, but since it had been a while since any clear dark nights were over Durango, I had to try imaging. The tracking was also less well controlled than other recent images. This is a "lucky" supernova, in that NGC7479 was imaged June 4 at the FLC observatory.
