Huge congratulations go to the Skyhawk Cycling Team for their victory at the USA Cycling Collegiate Mountain Bike National Championships! Dynasty is a strong word, but with over 20 national championships under their belts, it fits the Fort Lewis College riders.
The Skyhawks topped cycling powerhouses Colorado Mesa University and Marian University for the team omnium win. Anna Schehrer was the top Skyhawk female finisher in the individual omnium and Stephan Davoust led the male Skyhawk riders. FLC’s Mccauley Smith took home a win in the downhill race, Stephan Davoust and Cole Paton were first and second in short track cross country, and as a team the Skyhawks won the team relay.
I’m so proud of the team for their hard work and determination. It shows up in the results. It’s good to be a Skyhawk!
