I was pleased to hear that our . At FLC, we place just as much importance on academics as we do on wins and losses. I’m grateful to our FLC Athletics administration and Skyhawk coaches for ensuring our athletes get the most out of their time in the classroom.
I want to particularly recognize our FLC Women’s Basketball team for their academic success. Once again, they own the highest GPA of the Skyhawk teams. It was only a few years ago that they earned the highest GPA of any NCAA team of any division in the country! I’m so proud of them!
Our Skyhawk student athletes wear the Fort Lewis College name on their uniforms as they travel to country to compete. The vast majority of them are remarkable ambassadors of FLC during their playing days. As alumni, our former student athletes have gone on to do amazing things with their lives and careers.
I say this often, but today I say it with a little more pride: Go Skyhawks!
