I want to congratulate Fort Lewis College’s own Luc Cisna on his induction into the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Hall of Fame. Luc played for the Skyhawk Men’s Soccer team from 1995-99 and is recognized as one of the greatest defenders in FLC soccer history. He is also the first soccer player to ever be inducted into the RMAC Hall of Fame.
I often talk about how well our Skyhawk student athletes do in the classroom. They do such a great job with academics that one might forget how good they are in competition. The national championships that our student athletes have brought home to Durango are testament to what the Skyhawks are capable of, including several national championships for men’s soccer.
So congratulations to Luc and all the Skyhawks (and Raiders and Aggies) whose efforts make Fort Lewis College Athletics so exciting! I invite everyone to join us this upcoming season as the next generation of Skyhawks follow in the footsteps of those amazing athletes who have come before.
