Erica Nelson, a Diné Fly Fishing Guide and advocate for inclusivity in outdoor spaces, will share her experiences and insights on breaking barriers in the guiding community as the keynote speaker during this year’s 11th Annual Sustainability Summit. Nelson is the host of the Awkward Angler podcast. 

The event is focused on building inclusive, sustainable communities and fostering a deeper connection to the environment, said Environmental Center Director Sadie Magnifico.

This year’s theme, "Inclusivity in the Outdoors: Reconnecting with Nature and Community," invites participants to explore diverse perspectives on our relationship with nature and how we can take positive actions to create lasting change.

The event includes:
- Tabling by local sustainability organizations: Learn how you can get involved with community initiatives. 5 pm
- Fort Lewis College Sustainability Updates: Hear about the college’s latest efforts to promote sustainability. 6 pm
- Keynote Presentation by Erica Nelson: 6:30 pm
