I want to take a moment and honor the memory of Warren and Myrtle Nord. Both alumni and generous supporters of Fort Lewis College, Warren and Myrtle are, unfortunately, no longer with us. Yet their names will live on at FLC for many years to come.
The Nords left a gift of over $500,000 to be used for scholarships by the FLC Theatre Department and School of Business Administration. For generations to come, FLC students will be keeping Warren and Myrtle’s names alive as they study here with the help of these scholarships.
Scholarships can be created with relatively little funding and can be shaped in many different ways. What is always the same is the legacy a scholarship leaves and the good it does. So many of our students would not be here without that financial help. To the Nords and the many, many others who give so generously to help our students, I say thank you!
