A Campus Walking Tour:
Fort Lewis College historical plaque at the Clock Tower

This plaque, between two benches to the west of the Clock Tower, summarizes the history of Fort Lewis College through the presidency (1949-1962) of Charles Dale Rea, whose profile is shown in relief on this bronze marker.  It was dedicated on August 14, 1964, at its original location inset in a stone wall at the east end of the 鈥渋sland鈥� south of Berndt Hall.
